Billions of plastic bottles go into landfills every year. But now you can do something about it.

At Black Pepper we are committed to making a difference, and that’s why we have crafted our ‘dress to empress’ range, where the outer of each specially made garment is made with 100% recycled plastic bottles.

HOW IT WORKS

Plastic bottles are put into recycling

Transported to a specialised factory

The bottles are crushed and washed

Renewable polyester is created and turned into a fibre

The fibre is made into our amazing Empress Vest & Empress Reversible Jacket

Each Empress style uses 25 recycled plastic bottles!

Meaning, our whole Empress range is keeping approximately 350,000 plastic bottles out of landfill.

That’s:
- 19,000 kg of carbon emissions be eliminated from air pollution
- 19,500 kg litres of plastic being eliminated from landfill space
- 39,000 kg of petroleum being used to burn the plastic
