Returns Policy
Online Returns Policy
We appreciate it's not always easy buying the perfect garment/item online. Shop with confidence knowing if you change your mind or aren’t 100% happy with your purchase, we accept returns & exchanges provided you meet the below conditions:
We are happy to accept item returns for a refund or exchange where:
- the goods are in saleable condition;
- the goods have not been worn or used;
- the goods have the original tags still attached;
- the goods are received back within 30 days of receiving your order;
- are accompanied by proof of purchase /invoice if not returning via free returns process,
AND
We agree that the items are:
- Faulty (unless caused by you);
- Have been wrongly described; or
- Are different to the goods that you ordered.
We will then refund you the purchase price (excluding the freight fee). Please note that gift cards are non-refundable/exchangeable for cash.
Unless faulty, the following items are also non-refundable/exchangeable: lingerie, hosiery, jewellery, headwear accessories including fascinators, cosmetics and nail polish
Free Returns Online
For all Australian orders please follow the below instructions to return:
1.) Pack your item in secure packaging
2.) Fill out the Returns Portal and download your free prepaid label.
3.) Your return will be process within 5 business days of receipt. When your return is processed, we will send you an email to confirm that your refund has been processed.
Returning In-store
If you have purchased an item online or in-store and would like to make a return in line with our returns policy, you can visit your local Black Pepper Boutique or Outlet to do so. Click here to view our Store Locator. You will require proof of purchase in order to make the return.
International Returns
For items purchased from New Zealand please follow the below instructions to return:
1.) Pack your item in secure packaging
2.) Include a copy of your invoice or proof of purchase with your item
3.) Please also include a fully completed Returns Authorisation Form. This was supplied with your order. Or click here to print a copy of the Returns & Exchange Form.
4.) Send package including invoice and Returns Authorisation Form via a prepaid and traceable method to ensure safe and documented delivery to:

Please note that Black Pepper take no responsibility for missing incoming deliveries. Return shipping charges are not refundable.
Please allow two weeks from the day you returned your order for your return or exchange to be processed and for your account to be credited.
Faulty Products
If you have received a faulty garment/item from an online order, please contact our Customer Service Department on +61 1800 001 399 or info@blackpepper.com.au
If you are returning the item by post to us, please contact our Customer Service Department for a reply paid number. The alleged fault must be clearly identified to us in order for the item to be assessed.
Black Pepper will reimburse any reasonable shipping charges for return of goods that are deemed faulty.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. Where permitted by law, all other rights are excluded.
