1. Promotion Information 

1. These are the terms and conditions ("Terms") for the Black Pepper Summer Escape promotion ("Promotion"), a game of skill conducted by Black Pepper Brands Pty Ltd (ABN 60 112 065 559 of 88 Green St, Cremorne, Vic, 3121) ("Promoter").

2. Information on how to enter and prize details form part of these Terms. Entry into the Promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms.

3. Promotional Period: the Promotion commences at 12:00:01am (AEDT) on Wednesday, 7th October 2026 and closes at 11:59:59pm (AEDT) on Sunday, 1st November 2026 ("Promotional Period").

4. Judging will take place on or by Thursday, 5th November 2026 at 88 Green St, Cremorne, Vic, 3121 ("Judging"). 

5. The winner will be notified privately within two (2) business days of Judging and announced publicly on blackpepper.com.au from Monday, 2nd November 2026 for a minimum of 28 days, and may also be announced via the Promoter's social media channels. 

2. Eligibility 

6. The Promotion is open to Australian residents aged 18 years or over who sign up as a new member of the Black Pepper Peppercorn loyalty program during the Promotional Period and submit a valid Entry as described in clause 10 ("Eligible Entrant"). 

7. Employees (and their immediate family members) of the Promoter, and any agency or supplier directly associated with the administration or judging of this Promotion, are ineligible to enter. 

8. The Promotion is open to residents of New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia, Tasmania, the Australian Capital Territory and the Northern Territory. 

9. Entry is void where prohibited by law and is subject to any additional eligibility criteria set out in these Terms. 

3. How to Enter 

10.   To enter, an Eligible Entrant must, during the Promotional Period: (a) be signed up as a member of the Promoter's Peppercorn Loyalty program via the sign-up form at blackpepper.com.au or in a Black Pepper Boutique (does not include David Jones); and (b) submit a written response of [50] words or fewer to the question "Where would you go on your next holiday, and why?" via the sign-up form or entry mechanic specified by the Promoter ("Entry"). 

11.   This Promotion is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining a winner. Each valid Entry will be assessed and scored by the Promoter's judging panel against the criteria set out in clause 21. 

12.   Each Eligible Entrant may submit one (1) valid Entry during the Promotional Period. Multiple Entries from the same person will be assessed on the basis of their first valid Entry only, and later Entries will be disregarded. 

13.   Existing loyalty program members are eligible to enter using the entry mechanism. 

14.   Incomplete, illegible, corrupted, offensive, fraudulent or late Entries will be deemed invalid and excluded from judging at the Promoter's sole discretion. 15.   The Promoter takes no responsibility for Entries lost, delayed or not received due to technical disruption, network congestion or any other cause beyond its reasonable control. 

4. The Prize 

16.   There is one (1) prize available to be won: a holiday travel voucher with a total value of AUD $5,000 (GST inclusive where applicable) ("Prize"). 

17.   The Prize is a travel credit/voucher redeemable through a travel provider nominated by the winner, toward flights, accommodation and/or holiday packages, subject to availability and the Travel Provider's own booking terms and conditions. 

18.   The Prize voucher is valid for travel/redemption for twelve (12) months from 1 November 2026 and expires at 11:59pm (AEDT) on 31 October 2027. Any unused portion of the Prize after this date is forfeited and cannot be redeemed, extended or exchanged. 

19.   The Prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash, in whole or in part, except at the Promoter's sole discretion. 

20.   The winner is responsible for all costs not expressly included in the Prize, including but not limited to travel insurance, passport/visa costs, spending money, meals not included in a package, and any difference in value if the winner's chosen travel exceeds the $5,000 voucher value. 

21.   If any component of the Prize becomes unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize (or any part of it) with a prize of equal or greater value. 

5. Judging and Winner Selection 

22.   Judging will take place at 9.00am (AEDT) on Tuesday, 27th October 2026 at 88 Green St, Cremorne, Vic, 3121. 

23.   All valid Entries will be judged by a panel of 2 judges appointed by the Promoter ("Judging Panel"), whose decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. 

24.   Entries will be assessed and scored out of [100] against the following criteria:

 • Originality and creativity of the response (up to [40] points); 

• Relevance to the question asked (up to [30] points); 

• Overall quality of writing and adherence to the word limit (up to [30] points). 

25.   The Entry receiving the highest cumulative score, as determined by the Judging Panel, will be declared the winner, subject to verification of eligibility. 

26.   In the event of a tied score, the Judging Panel will select the winner by assessing the tied Entries against the criteria in clause 24 a second time, with the Judging Panel's decision being final. 6. Notification and Unclaimed Prize 

27.   The winner will be notified by telephone and/or email using the contact details provided at sign-up, within two (2) business days of Judging. 

28.   If the winner cannot be contacted, or fails to respond within 7 days of the Promoter's reasonable attempts to make contact, or does not meet eligibility requirements, the Prize may be forfeited and awarded to the Entry with the next-highest score, as determined by the Judging Panel. 

29.   The winner's name (or region, where required for privacy) will be published on blackpepper.com.au for a minimum of 28 consecutive days from 1 November 2026. 7. General Conditions 

30.   The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of Entries and Entrants (including an Entrant's identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any Entrant who submits an Entry that is not in accordance with these Terms or who has tampered with the entry process. 

31.   If this Promotion is interfered with in any way, or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any cause beyond the Promoter's control, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the Promotion. 

32.   To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability for any injury, loss or damage (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) arising from participation in the Promotion or acceptance of the Prize, except for liability that cannot be excluded by law, including under the Australian Consumer Law. 

33.   Nothing in these Terms limits, excludes or modifies any statutory consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. 

34.   By submitting an Entry, the Entrant grants the Promoter a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to reproduce, publish and use the Entry (in whole or in part) for the purposes of judging and promoting this Promotion. 

35.   The Promoter may use the winner's name, likeness, Entry content and/or testimonial in future publicity and marketing material, in any medium, without further compensation, unless prohibited by law or the winner objects at the time of being notified. 

36.   The Promoter collects personal information (including name, contact details (phone, email and address), date of birth and entry content) for the purpose of conducting the Promotion, including judging Entries, verifying entries, contacting entrants, and fulfilling the Prize. Personal information may also be used for the ongoing operation of the Peppercorn Loyalty Program, in line with the Promoter's Privacy Policy available at www.blackpepper.com.au. 

37.   Personal information will not be disclosed to any third party other than as required to conduct the Promotion (e.g. the Travel Provider, for Prize fulfilment; or judges, for the purpose of assessing Entries) or as required by law. 

38.   By entering, entrants consent to the collection, use and disclosure of their personal information as described in these Terms and the Promoter's Privacy Policy.
