Get to know our Black Pepper mums

Celebrating every moment with every mum is important to us. It’s time to meet the awe-inspiring mothers leading our 2021 Mother’s Day campaign.

How was your day on set for our recent Mother’s Day Campaign?

The Mother’s Day campaign shoot was loads of fun! I walked into a studio full of flowers for the set and smiles from the crew and the other models. We all had lots of laughs and fun doing our group shots and wearing the new collection!

What has the past year made you grateful for?

Last year was a huge eye opener. I am grateful that it gave me time to assess things in my life that would usually be overlooked. I am super grateful for previous times of carefree travel and the small things in life that the last year gave me time to appreciate.

Did you start any hobbies during lockdown?

No, I did not start any hobbies, although I made the most of getting outside and exercising and enjoying the fresh air and of course I became a home schoolteacher, that was interesting!

When we can travel, where is your dream destination and why?

I’ve always wanted to go to Mexico and Morocco. I love to emerge myself in different cultures and for that, those two are on the top of my list. Although I’ve never been to New Zealand, so I think that might be my next stop! It’s looks so beautiful over there, I’d love to go exploring in that beautiful country.

What’s one piece of advice you’ve been given in life that really resonated with you?

To be grateful.

What makes you smile?

My Son. Nature. Summertime. Swimming. Spending time with family and friends.

What’s the item in your wardrobe you can’t live without?

As the weather starts getting cooler, I love my puffer jacket, it’s like wearing a big warm cuddle.

I had such a wonderful time shooting for Black Pepper, everyone on set was so welcoming. I have always wanted to shoot with Carlotta Moye and the other two models, Bianca and Michelle, were divine!

I started to grow my own herbs. I’m yet to start my own vegetable patch but it will happen one day.

When we can travel, where is your dream destination and why?

It’s a toss-up between New Zealand and Fiji. New Zealand for the beautiful scenery and exciting adventures; Fiji for the climate, water activities, family friendliness and relaxation.

What’s one piece of advice you’ve been given in life that really resonated with you?

Don’t let schooling get in the way of your education.

What makes you smile

I have so many things that put a smile on my face; the beach, sunshine, my children laughing, family getaways, surfing, breakfast, a cup of tea. It’s always the simple things!

What do you enjoy doing with your children?

I love watching them learn, discover and grow. When I can see they’re proud of themselves and enjoy being in the moment, it’s really pure and heart-warming.

Activewear and swimwear

When we can travel, where is your dream destination and why?

Sicily, Italy. I travelled there in 2019 and couldn’t see it all. That part of Italy reminds me of the true, untouched, authentic Italy. I love the food, beauty and history of this ancient area. It is also off the beaten track and less crowded.

What’s one piece of advice you’ve been given in life that really resonated with you?

Surrender to What Is. Let go of what was. Have Faith in what will be. This is a quote I have lived by in recent times.

What makes you smile?

When I have all of my family together and everyone is happy, whether it be around a dinner table, a family celebration or on holiday.

A pair of comfortable jeans!
