FOUR FESTIVE CLASSICS

A Christmas movie shared with loved ones is one of the best ways to relax, feel joy and get yourself in a merry spirit. Explorations of life, love, wonder and everything in between- each of our favourites covers enough to entertain little ones to dear old friends.

Here are a few to watch this December:

1. Miracle on 34th Street

A jolly, old Kris Kringle fills in for Santa at Macy’s main store in downtown Manhattan- his claims about his festive authenticity is put under question! Leading to a trial to determine if this man is the real secret Santa. A movie about faith, love truth and pure Christmas magic

2. The Holiday

From flashy LA to a cosy English cottage – Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet partake in a holiday scenery swap and find in each others lives what they were missing in their own- and some love along the way.

3. Meet Me In St. Louis

The movie that made “Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas’ a holiday favourite, starring a young Judy Garland. Although only a short period of the movie takes place at Christmas time, it will always be a festive favourite.

4. The Santa Clause

The perfect pick to get the little ones giggling, so much so you’ll just have to join in! Tim Allen is all rosy cheeks and a belly full of jelly as he reluctantly takes on Christmas’ most important role- becoming Mr. Clause himself.
